The Wesleyan Small Group

facilitated by John Hammer

John Wesley’s original small groups focused on a single question: how is your relationship with God?  The mutual encouragement in these groups led to spiritual growth; Wesley (in England) and Asbury (in the US) both insisted that these groups were essential to the Methodist movement.  During the period where small groups were widely practiced, the US Methodist movement grew from a few thousand to a few million people.  Recently, a UM church in Florida found that 98% of new members continued to attend small groups.  Clearly, something powerful happens in these small groups.  This eight meeting course will cover the history, theology, and practice of the Wesleyan small group.
All Things New - Women's Bible Study by Kelly Minter  facilitated by Debbie Adams In “All Things New: A Study of 2 Corinthians,” Kelly Minter will lead you through the Letter of 2 Corinthians over 8 sessions, exploring the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening wide your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships, and what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant. Each of us has a message to proclaim and live by: Because of Jesus the old has gone, the new has come.
