At NFUMC, we take the safety of our children, families, and staff very seriously. We are a Safe Sanctuary, which means that all of our staff and volunteers who work with children are required to pass background checks and complete training modules every two years, with annual trainings on policies and procedures. Anyone who works or volunteers with our children is thoroughly trained to abide by safety protocols which insure the protection and well being of all involved. In addition, many staff members are CPR/First Aid certified, and our Children’s Wing is thoroughly protected with 24/7 security camera monitoring. With the ever-changing need for improved safety in our world, we continue to work toward improved safety and security goals at NFUMC.
Coming to visit? Here are some helpful tips!

Check-In and Check-Out
All children birth-5th grade are required to check-in and check-out of our secure system. When you arrive through the main entrance of the church, ask a greeter to guide you to the kiosks! Instructions on how to add your child to the system are placed at each kiosk.

The kiosks print a safety badge for each child with their name and your contact information, so that our team can quickly contact you if needed! It also prints a guardian badge for you so that our volunteers know which adult should pick them up at the end of class. When you pick up your child from the class, present your guardian badge to the class or nursery leader, and check out at the kiosk before you leave. Our volunteers and staff are happy to assist with this as needed!
