Starting Tuesday, June 20 thru July 18 Norcross FUMC, in partnership with the United Methodist Children’s’ Home, will be hosting a 7 week series of “IMPACT” Classes for new foster parents in Gwinnett and surrounding counties every Tuesday night and Saturday morning through the summer.  

“IMPACT” is a state certified curriculum which includes 24 hrs. of classroom instruction. The United Methodist Children’s Home will provide all training, training materials and two facilitators to teach “IMPACT” here at our church on Tuesday nights & Saturday mornings. Individuals attending “IMPACT” will be families from Gwinnett Co. or the No. Metro Coalition of UMCs that have attended an Information Meeting and have started the process.

SO HOW CAN YOU HELP? By providing a meal on a Tuesday night or breakfast on Saturday morning during the IMPACT classes.

Approx. 15 people to feed.

  • Light Dinner on a Tuesday night from 6pm-7pm
  • Light Breakfast on a Saturday morning from 9am-10am
  • Providing a Covered Dish on July 18th at 6pm for the Foster Parent Graduation Celebration
  • Hosts needed on July 18th from 5:30pm-7:00pm
  • Donations of bottles of water and/or cans of soda for each class
  • Donation of paper plates, cups, napkins for each meal
